Abstract

Canine plays an important role in esthetics, being corner tooth of mouth and function deserves special attention, therefore its impaction to be properly diagnosed and managed is essential. The dental professions has always had interest towards resolving this malocclusion. The orthodontists and surgeons have played an important rule and are proved successful in treating them. This article reviews prevalence, classification diagnosis, and treatment modalities in the management of impacted maxillary canines.
