Abstract
Editorial on quality vs. quantity of carbohydrates in prevention of metabolic syndrome. Both carb avoidance and unrestricted use of carbs are bad according to best currently available evidence. The priority should be replacement of refined carbs and sugar with minimally processed whole grains and healthy fats and proteins.
