Abstract

Vannamei shrimp is one of the leading types of shrimp in Indonesia. One of the vannamei shrimp farming business actors in Bangkalan is PT. Ebrar Cahaya Utama. The problems faced include fluctuating shrimp yields, fluctuating shrimp selling prices, and shrimp feed prices that tend to rise. This study aims to (1) identify internal and external factors at PT. Ebrar Cahaya Utama, (2) formulating alternative development strategies based on SWOT analysis, (3) determining strategic priorities based on QSPM analysis. The method used is SWOT analysis and QSPM analysis. The results of the IFAS matrix analysis show that the highest score for strength lies in a strategic business location. The biggest weakness lies in the lack of ability to overcome shrimp diseases. The results of the EFAS matrix analysis show that the greatest opportunity lies in the availability of inputs and the greatest threat lies in the price of shrimp feed. Based on the SWOT diagram, the company's position is in quadrant II which is located on the ST strategy (Strength-Threat). Based on the Sum Total Attractiveness Score (STAS), an alternative sequence of priority strategies that can be applied is by building a laboratory, utilizing information technology to predict the weather, and maintaining relationships with feed supplier.
