Abstract

Social media like Twitter is often used for spreading fake messages. Fake messages are made as if from an official account even though the sender does not have access to the account. Identification of fake twitter messages in this paper designed using ECDSA's digital signature algorithm. Each created message will be signed using the account owner's private key and any messages read will be validated using the author's public key. The proposed schemes implemented in Android-based applications and through testing of account accounts accessible to the Twitter API, this application successfully signed and validated 30 messages.
