Nurses’ challenges during COVID-19 pandemic: A literature review

Abstract

COVID-19 Pandemic stull continues and impacts on all aspects of life, including nurses. During COVID-19 Pandemic, nurses face various challenges in implementing their professional responsibilities. This study aims at investigating problems facing the nurses in the COVID-19 Pandemic. This study is a literature review. Articles were searched from Science Direct, Sagepub, and Wiley online from 2020 to 2021, using keywords of “occupational health and safety and nurses and COVID and hospital and qualitative’. Inclusive criteria of this study are: (1) this study involved participants of nurses; (2) there were inhibitions in qualitative design; and (3) English full-text journal. Results of the study indicate that there are thirteen studies formulated in this literature review. There were three main themes: challenges, strategy, and nurses' need in the COVID-19 Pandemic. This study concludes that nurses faced various problems in COVID-19 Pandemic time. Nurses executed some strategies to overcome the challenges. This study also formulated the needs of nurses when facing the COVID-19. This study's benefit is expectable to contribute to occupational health and safety efforts facing the nurses in COVID-19 Pandemic time.
