Abstract

The Gulf of Guinea is a very rich maritime area which can not, however, generate prosperous states. It is the sea around which several contradictions coexist. The sea is, in principle, an integration element by its treasures and the cooperative solutions it offers. But some states continue to maintain a spirit of belligerence and lust delaying their advance towards better futures. In addition, the development of maritime crime reinforces a climate of instability due to poor governance.
