Abstract
Female Sesarma intermedia (Grapsidae) on Kyushu, Japan, had higher indices of stomach contents than males, but calorific values of the contents were greater for males. Males had much more unidentified material in their foreguts than females, which had more plant food material. Females are thus more specialized in feeding than males. Females showed higher assimilation efficiencies than males. -from Author
