Abstract
Spatial Computing integrates technologies like Mixed Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and the Global Positioning System, enabling immersive, natural, and intelligent multi-modal interactions in physical and virtual spaces. With the huge potential to benefit users in multiple scenarios (e.g., gaming, education, design, and healthcare), Spatial Computing is growing at an incredible rate, with different attempts to define and capitalize on the growth in both industry and academia. Beyond the location, shape, and relationship of geographic objects, Spatial Computing delves into the social, emotional, and cognitive dimensions of shared spaces. However, the humancomputer interaction research on Spatial Computing faces a notable gap, particularly in user experience areas like collaboration, trust, ethics, and accessibility. Addressing this gap, this Special Interest Group (SIG) seeks to unite experts from academia and industry to explore current and future trends in Spatial Computing.
