Sociodrama as a “potential stage” for creating participative and transformative research on social work with families living in vulnerable situations

Abstract

This article of the Zeitschrift für Psychodrama und Soziometrie aims to explore how Morenian sociodrama and its techniques represent valuable tools for participative research with social professionals and teachers working with children and their families in vulnerable situations. After introducing the Canon of Creativity by Moreno and its connection to art-based research, sociodrama is theoretically introduced and proposed as a research tool. This is followed by a description of an experience of participative research with a group of roughly 40 professionals within the national Italian programme P.I.P.P.I. The process of the session is described and discussed, in order to demonstrate how sociodrama can be an interesting tool for social research. The conclusion provides connections between practice and research, proposing the involvement of families in future activities, and highlighting possible future theoretical explorations in order to examine the topic in greater depth.In diesem Artikel der Zeitschrift für Psychodrama und Soziometrie soll untersucht werden, wie das Soziodrama nach Moreno und seine Techniken wertvolle Werkzeuge für die partizipative Forschung mit SozialarbeiterInnen und LehrerInnen darstellen, die mit Kindern in vulnerablen Familien arbeiten. Nach der Einführung der Theorie der Kreativität nach Moreno und seiner Verbindung mit kunstbasierter Forschung wird das Soziodrama theoretisch als Forschungsinstrument vorgestellt. Darauf folgt eine Beschreibung der Erfahrung partizipativer Forschung mit einer Gruppe von ungefähr 40 Fachleuten innerhalb des nationalen italienischen Programms P.I.P.P.I. Der Prozess der Sitzung wird wiedergegeben und diskutiert, um zu zeigen, wie Soziodrama als ein interessantes Instrument für die Sozialforschung verwendet werden kann. Die Schlussfolgerung stellt Verbindungen zwischen Praxis und Forschung her, schlägt die Einbeziehung von Familien in zukünftige Aktivitäten vor und regt mögliche zukünftige theoretische Untersuchungen an, um das Thema eingehender zu untersuchen.
