Abstract

The background of this research is the child's lack of independence in developing the desired abilities. This situation can be seen when the child conveys the sentence "can't mom" or "how mom" to complete playing activities that can produce a free work. The purpose of this study is about learning by applying learning media made from loose parts to build independent learning for early childhood with the number of research subjects 12 children, namely 5 boys and 7 girls. This research is part of a qualitative descriptive research. The steps of learning begin with planning the implementation and evaluation of learning carried out by research data sources, which are sourced from children's activities when playing jumping and the work of children directly who are the main informants. The conclusion of the study states that the application of learning media made from loose parts can build independent learning for early childhood with freedom of play. The strategies carried out by the teacher such as different environmental arrangements, the use of various loose part materials, open questions asked both from the teacher and students, the freedom to choose play activities and choose the desired material during the process and the results of the work that the teacher has observed. is expected to build learning independence for early childhood optimally
