Abstract

Sweet corn (Zea mays L.) is one of the important horticultural commodities in the world. In Indonesia the development of these commodities are patterned agribusiness and agroindustri can be categorized as one of the sources of income in the agricultural sector. One effort that can be done to improve produtivity maize by used of biological fertilizers.Then conducted research on the effectiveness formulation of biological fertilizer and synthetic chemical fertilizers on the growth of maize. The research was conducted over 4 months from May to August 2015 in Bojongpicung. The experimental design used in this research there was a Randomized Block Design (RBD), which consists of 4 groups of 6 treatments. Treatment A: synthetic chemical fertilizers 100%, B: Biofertilizer 100%, C: Biofertilizer 100% + synthetic chemical fertilizers 75%, D: Biofertilizer 100% + synthetic chemical fertilizers 50%, E: Biofertilizer 100% + synthetic chemical fertilizer 25% and F: Without treatment. Parameter research include plant height, leaf length, number of fruits and fruit weight. The results showed that the administration of treatment C Biofertilizer 100% + 75% synthetic chemical fertilizer is the best treatment and significant effect on plant height, leaf length, number of fruits and fruit weight of maize (Zea mays L.).
