Abstract

The present study is undertaken with a view to find out the Bodo and non-Bodo’s perception towards accountability, transparency and inclusiveness of VCDC. VCDC is a local government body arranged in BTAD at the base. It was hypothesised that there is no significant difference between Bodo and non-Bodo’s perception towards the three principles of good governance. For verification of these hypotheses, the data was collected from 120 respondents from two VCDC, namely, Borshijhora and Hogmabil under Dotma Development Block of Kokrajhar, BTAD, Assam. The statistical technique used were Measures of Central Tendency, Measures of Variability and ‘t’ test. The findings of the present study revealed that statistically significant differences exist between Bodo and non-Bodo’s perception towards accountability, transparency and inclusiveness of VCDC.
