Abstract

A good manageable treatment plan does not just happen, but comes about as the natural consequence of taking carefully considered steps. History taking and clinical examination are two of the most important aspects of the patient assessment process, and complement each other to such an extent that it is impossible to build a satisfactory treatment plan without combining and collating information from the two procedures. © 2012 Macmillan Publishers Limited.
