Abstract
Based on data from the Ministry of Education and Culture, in Indonesia there are 14,265 Vocational High Schools in the field of Catering (SMK). With the large number of vocational schools, the learning methods used are still dominated by conventional methods. Meanwhile, current learning technology has implemented AR (Augmented Reality) technology. Of course this is an opportunity to apply this technology. This research was carried out with the aim of building an Android-based Augmented Reality application that allows students to interact with three-dimensional objects in real time. The research methods used include: requirements analysis, design, implementation and testing. The results of the research are in the form of an Augmented Reality application program specifically for Vocational High Schools in the field of Catering. It is hoped that the application of Augmented Reality will bring added value to teaching at Vocational Schools in the field of Catering and open up opportunities to develop more interesting learning materials.
