Abstract

The design and construction of a probe for proton NMR microimaging studies of small objects, in particular single cells less than 1 mm in diameter, at 8.5 T is described. The probe incorporates a novel RF assembly and novel semishielded quadrupolar gradient coils. The design criteria are discussed and some preliminary results presented. © 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
