Abstract

A new species of water mite genus Wandesia is described on the basis of the specimen collected at the Arctic coast in the eastern Siberia, Russia. The new species is distinguished from the congeners in having three setae on the fi rst coxa, one seta on the fourth coxa, and two fi ne setae on the third palpal segment. This is the fi rst record of the genus Wandesia from the sea coast.
