The genus Paralimosina from Nepal and Pakistan, excluding P. eximia species group (Diptera, Sphaeroceridae)

Abstract

Fourteen Paralimosina species are recorded from Pakistan and Nepal. Six species, P. albipes sp. nov., P. biloba sp. nov., P. cavata sp. nov., P. confusa sp. nov., P. megaloba sp. nov. and P. similis sp. nov., are described and illustrated as new to science. P. japonica is newly recorded from Nepal, and the females of P. altimontana and P. marshalli are discovered for the first time.
