Abstract
Autism is a mental disease characterized by social disorder, impaired communication skills, narrow interests and repeated stereotyped behaviors. Autism is related to genetic factors, non-genetic factors and the complex interaction between them, among which the genetic mutation of synaptic proteins, chromosome variation, molecular pathway dysfunction and brain inflammatory reaction are the influencing factors leading to the occurrence of autism. At present, the pathogenesis of autism is not very clear, and the diagnostic methods are not perfect. The research on autism is still a hot field of mental disease research. This paper reviews the recent advances in the pathogenesis, disease models and new drug research and development related to autism.
