Abstract

In two experiments the classically reported difference of about 40 msec between simple RTs to high intensity tone and light was reproduced using 1° and 3° targets, but was reduced to 24 msec by illuminating virtually the whole retinal surface. In a third experiment, the indicated relations between target size and RT were repeated. © 1968, Psychonomic Journals. All rights reserved.
