Abstract

Highlights Significant findings in bio-piezoelectric material-guided cell behavior and bone tissue engineering are presented. Benefits and limitations associated with the latest 3D printing strategies for bio-piezoelectric materials are discussed. Challenges and future perspectives on 4D printing smart bio-piezoelectric scaffolds for potential biological applications are outlined.
