Abstract

Neosilba zadolicha McAlpine & Steyskal is reported for the first time in "umbucajazeira" fruits (Spondias sp.), in Cruz das Almas, State of Bahia, Brazil. A total of 51 specimens were obtained from 4,100 fruits between March and July 2002. This is the first record of N. zadolicha in an Anacardiaceae species.
