Abstract

The influence of the Earth's rotation on the resonant interaction of atmospheric waves is investigated. The explicit expressions for the coupling coefficients are presented. They are derived by means of two different techniques; first, by a direct expansion derivation from a set of reduced equations, and second, by a Hamiltonian method.
