Abstract
The mediodistal crown diameters of the deciduous teeth and their permanent successors were measured on plaster models of 65 children (34 boys and 31 girls). Correlation analyses were calculated which showed some correlation between the two dentitions. These correlations were stronger in girls than in boys. On the average the sum of the permanent teeth exceeds that of the deciduous teeth in mediodistal crown diameter but there is considerable individual variation.
