Abstract

The article examines the best solutions to prevent occupational burnout in librarianship. Topics discussed include work-related causes of stress, causes and effects of burnout, and administrative and personal techniques to prevent burnout. Recommendations for administrators to prevent or reverse the symptoms of occupational burnout include providing specific services to employees such as an established employee orientation program and communicating effectively to employees.
