Abstract

This paper helps dive into the world of audio signal processing deeper by using MATLAB to convert a given input music signal into legible music notes that could, not only be used in a variety of fields. A core example of the usage of music can be observed in the treatment of patients with Parkinsona's Disease (PD). Based off several studies, the provision of audio support helps us observe the effects of musical-based therapy on an array of areas ranging from classification of functioning, disability and health components such as cognition, balance and functional mobility. Another application of this research comes in the field of music where the cognition of specific notes could help with the identification of songs and writing of sheet music just by identifying the notes.
