Abstract

The author looks at the health care reform plan offered by 2008 U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama. He believes that the plan fails to address the incentives which contribute to increases in health care spending which make insurance unaffordable for millions of people. The problems employers face with the plan are addressed. He comments on the expense of the plan and questions whether Americans will be willing to pay the price.
