Abstract
A condition of pure ovarian rhabdomyosarcoma in a 16‐year‐old female is described. The tumor presented with a leukemia‐like picture, with extensive peripheral blood and bone marrow involvement which led to an initial diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The diagnosis was achieved at autopsy and was supported by ultrastructural findings of Z‐band‐like material and alternating thin and thick filaments. Cancer 52:297‐300, 1983.
