Abstract

Wave energy and other forms of renewable energy, must be considered as alternative methods of generating electricity following the government's decision to abandon plans for the construction of new nuclear power stations in Britain for at least five years. In this article the author examines and discusses in general terms wave power projects and renewable energy schemes in Britain. Brief mention is made of other schemes worldwide. (R.G.)
