Abstract

This article offers an initial exploratory approach to the use of machine translation (MT) in the medical field by reviewing related studies and conducting semi-structured interviews with professional medical translators aimed at finding out how they use MT, what advantages and disadvantages it has in their view, or what difficulties they encounter, among others.
