Abstract
Dipteryx odorata (Aubl.) Willd, Fabaceae family, is a native species from the Amazon forest, Brazil. The goal of the work was to isolate and identify the flavonoids in the endocarp from D. odorata in order to minimize costs with solvents, time and residues. Six flavonoids, 3′,4′,7-trihydroxyflavone, 3′,4′,7-trihydroxyflavanone, 3′,4′,6-trihydroxyaurone, 3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavone, 2′,3,4,4′-tetrahydroxychalcone and 2′,4,4′-trihydroxychalcone were isolated. The flavonoids 3′,4′,7-trihydroxyflavoneand 2′,3,4,4′-tetrahydroxychalcone were identified for the first time in this species.
