Abstract

Myocarditis is a known extraintestinal manifestation of inflammatory bowel diseases, but it rarely leads to acute cardiac pump failure. We report a case of fulminant myocarditis associated with ulcerative colitis treated successfully with an extracorporeal membrane oxygenator. © 2013 Forum Multimedia Publishing, LLC.
