Abstract
Two improved systems for more effective processing of fibres and yarns are described. The first is Trutzschler's new design for a fibre-feed lattice conveyor, which offers more even feed by the pinned lattices and contributes to more even weighing in the hopper. A new system for making a combination tectured yarn has been developed by Rieter Scragg Ltd of Macclesfield. The new process enables yarn makers to produce novel yarns which can simulate high quality products based on natural fibres.
