Abstract
Of 10 patients with hairy cell leukaemia treated with 3 mU recombinant α-interferon daily, 9 showed clinical and haematological response - including 2 patients who achieved complete remission. Unmaintained responses have continued for as long as 18+ months after completion of therapy. There was no significant toxicity associated with this treatment schedule.
