Abstract

The article highlights a project that incorporates active learning strategies in an electronic classroom (E-Classroom) setup designed to develop library skills in second-year Biological Sciences students at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. It relates that the project revealed how active and collaborative learning strategies address the diverse learning styles of different students and increase their problem-solving capabilities as their instructors encourage them to build on their prior knowledge in order to perform specific research tasks.
