Abstract

Porous Cu ribbon was fabricated by vapor phase dealloying using an as-quenched Cu5Zn21 ribbon as a precursor. An analysis of the microstructure and phase composition of the as-quenched precursor and resulting porous Cu was performed using SEM, EDS, XRD, and N2 adsorption/desorption experiment. An impact of controlling parameters of the dealloying process on the resulting porous Cu was discussed.
