Abstract
Wickerhamomyces anomalus is a yeast with industrial significance due to its osmotolerance and aromatic compound production. W. anomalus MBY2396, isolated from Nuruk, exhibits notable osmotolerance. In this study, its genome was sequenced using the PacBio Sequel platform, resulting in a draft genome consisting of 22 contigs with a total length of 14,638,111 bp, 6,737 predicted genes, and a GC content of 34.5%. Functional annotation identified 6,288 protein-coding genes, which were categorized into 25 groups. This study provides genomic insights into stress responses of W. anomalus MBY2396 and its potential for biotechnological applications in osmotolerant environments.
