Both issues require appropriate treatment looking forward to ensure the alignment with the mission, vision and organizational goals. It also seeks to enhance the infrastructure grid for e-Science in the country. This paper proposes the basis of the strategic plan for the Colombian Online Community Advanced Computing 3CoA®, from an exercise done at Universidad de Medellin. The construction process of the strategic plan is explained by SWOT analysis and co-creation with multiple audiences. Furthermore, its structure and implementation challenges are shown. Domain experts consider that this construction is relevant since the 3CoA® community will have a well-specified strategy in the next 5 years, resulting in the optimization of efforts and wills alignment based on a set of defined strategies and common purposes.
