The trust that society places in scientific research is a fundamental element in the development of this activity. However, the constant cases of malpractice due to nepotism, conflict of interest, misuse of public funds, plagiarism, misappropriation of ideas, financial doping, fake news, falsification, adulteration and/or fabrication of data, among many other things, has generated an increase in mistrust towards knowledge generation processes and their results. From a dialogic and cordial ethic, this study proposes guidelines for the design of a research ethics within the framework of applied ethics that helps to eradicate and control bad practices in this area.
