Abstract

This paper presents an overview of management facilities for future telecommunications networks. These networks called Information Networks are currently being defined by the worldwide TINA project (Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture) [1], which groups the main telecommunication manufacturers and operators, as well as certain information technology vendors. TINA networks increase the need to manage in a dynamic and flexible way new telecom services while keeping compatibility with the main management and distribution standards. To serve this purpose, we propose a query service for CORBA based platforms following the TINA architecture frameworks. This query service is strongly based on database and CORBA technologies.
