Abstract
Over the past few months, the fundamental right to privacy has started to clash with the fundamental right to health in manners never previously contemplated in Brazilian legal system. The covid-19 pandemic forced public administrators to seek effective and nimble solutions to the public health crisis. The technology for monitoring and tracking personal data has proven to be the most effective solution to achieve this goal. This article, through the study of comparative law and existing monitoring and tracking techniques, aims to propose a method of action that helps government officials to contain the spread of covid-19, without forgetting the relevance of the right to privacy.
