Internet Gambling Bibliography: Update and Analysis

Abstract

This article provides a brief analysis of journal titles that have articles related to Internet gambling. Only 18 of 105 journal articles relating to Internet gambling were published between 1996 to 2000. This is not particularly surprising as the first online casino Web sites first appeared in 1995. The volume of such articles has risen significantly since 2000. Of the 45 total journal titles that have included articles related to Internet gambling, only ten have included more than just a single article on the topic. They are: Gaming Law Review, Journal of Gambling Issues, CyberPsychology and Behavior, Journal of Gambling Studies, Chapman Law Review, Computer Law & Security Report, Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Internet Research, and UNLV Gaming Research and Review Journal.
