Museums have become strategic elements of development, given its ability to regenerate deprived areas, as well as to promote the image of the cities receiving. This is why, in an attempt to overcome the crisis caused by industrial restructuring in recent years, the city of Langreo (Asturias) opted for a cultural policy focused on the rehabilitation and reuse of industrial heritage museum purposes. In these pages we will look at two interventions that have resulted in putting up Steel Industry Museum and the City Art Gallery “Eduardo Úrculo”.
