Abstract

In the author's dissertation, he introduced a simple topological game. Seemingly minor variations of this game have over the years seen various uses, including the characterization of Corson and Eberlein compacta, and characterizing when certain function spaces with the compact-open topology are Baire. This article is primarily a survey of this game and its applications. Some new results are included, and a number of open problems are stated. Copyright ©2006 Rocky Mountain Mathematics Consortium.
