Radiología e imagen del tórax en la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva

Abstract

El estudio de la patología de tórax en un paciente hospitalizado en la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) se realiza con base en dos contextos: de acuerdo con las regiones anatómicas en que se estudia el tórax, y la segunda, y más importante: de acuerdo con el método de imagen en donde podemos visua-lizar las patologías con base en tres diferentes modalidades diagnósticas: radiografía simple, ultrasonido y tomografía. En esta revisión breve se describen los principales hallazgos imagenológicos de las patologías que con mayor frecuencia se presentan en la UTI. Abstract The study of chest pathology in a patient hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is performed based on two contexts: according to the anatomical regions in which the chest is studied and second and most important: according to the imaging method where we can visualize the pathologies based on three different diagnostic modalities: radiography, ultrasound, and tomography. This review briefly presents the characteristics of some of the most common pathologies observed in the ICU and their main imaging findings.
