Precision agriculture is a systematized process of agricultural activity that provides technological elements such as: Use of GPS, control systems, sensors, robotics, drones, autonomous vehicles, hardware, telematics and software, generating options for farmers to implement processes in their crops through technologies, achieving competitiveness in their processes to compete with world producers. The book has the purpose of structuring a theoretical component and a state of the art of the subject of study, and later to socialize two technological developments: the first consisted of showing a functional prototype, based on the integration of three technologies, computing, communications and electronics to automate irrigation control in closed or open systems. For this, software was developed that sends digital output signals from a computer to an electronic device, to activate the physical irrigation and complementary devices. A bidirectional communication subsystem PC-Modem GSM-Cellular was integrated, which allows turning on / off a device through remote commands from a mobile or cellular device, as well as sending alarms and warnings that indicate the current status of the system, through text messages via cell phone and emails. The automation system was designed to suit a variety of applications that are capable of automation and control. The second development consisted of the construction of a Wit Farming platform, an application designed so that small, medium and large farmers can easily and quickly take control of their crops and land with the methodology of Machine Learning algorithm elements, being a technological tool capable of monitoring the level of humidity of the land, the height and health of the plants etc; taking into account variables such as: soil, cultivation, climate, pests, fertilization, weed, insect and disease control.
