Abstract
Biomass cook stoves using biomass (usually wood) as fuel in the combustion process. The heat generated from the combustion process can be used for culinary purposes. Stove is still widely used in society, but still made traditionally with a simple design that has low thermal efficiency resulting in high emissions of hazardous substances and require more fuel (wood). Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method can be use to predict fluid flow patterns that occur in the stove and combustion chamber. CFD method can be used to get better geometry design of the combustion chamber, so the efficiency of the combustion reaction and heat transfer can be higher.
