Abstract
In these experiments we have added to the concept of the importance of antibody in the resistance of Leishmania infection by demonstrating that stage- and species-specific monoclonal antibodies to external membrane components of L. mexicana promastigotes can confer complete protection when inoculated with L. mexicana promastigotes into BALB/c mice foot pads.
