Abstract
Porous intermetallic Ni2XAl (X = Ti or Zr) nanoparticles with small crystallite sizes (24-34 nm) and high Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface areas (10-71 m2g−1) were prepared from oxide precursors by a chemical route. CaH2acted as a template to form the porous morphologies and assisted the reduction.
