The Use of Horticultural Oils and Insecticidal Soaps for Control of Insect Pests of Amenity Plants

Abstract

Major advantages associated with the use of horticultural oil and insecticidal soap sprays include environmental and applicator safety, compatibility with IPM programs and a wide range of pest control. Horticultural oils and insecticidal soaps are becoming major chemical pest control tools for the green industry. However, a complete working knowledge and proper application are essential in order for these materials to be effective and environmentally safe.
