Abstract

The distinctions between shower and thunderstorm were made clear by analyses of radar data obtained at the Meteorological Research Institute in 1956 and 1958. The vertical velocities in thunderstorm were calculated from the echo height. © 1961, Japan Meteorological Agency. All rights reserved.
